It’s finally here!
Remember the Skywalker EP and 21st Century Bots? They are part of an overarching story which concludes in this newest EP, Voyager. I finished up most of this EP way back in last August but never got around to publishing it until now. It is a slightly different style from my more recent stuff, so it might not be quite what you expect.
As always, it is a free download! Enjoy!

ok so I realized that tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of the Skywalker EP, so i hastily made a cover photo for its conclusion and it is ready to be released tomorrow. In the meantime you can hear the tracks here, I will take them off of SoundCloud once the release is done.

(it’s about time, most of these songs have been sitting on my computer since last August woopsh)

Astro Kid - “Starlights in the Sky”

Astro Kid is a one-man, electronica band from Austin, Texas. The Skywalker EP is available at a name-your-own price basis. He’s done everything on his EP himself — from writing the songs, producing them, and even painting the image featured in the cover art. It’s refreshing to find such DIY ethic from a musician, but I’m sure Astro Kid is not unique in his approach. Bandcamp, the website from which you can download Astro Kid’s EP, hosts music from a variety of musicians. You’re bound to find an unsigned artist who offers their works for free or at least a reasonable price. The gap between musician and listener is being bridged, and it’s fantastic. Go out and explore Bandcamp. Support up and coming artists — they will be the future movers and shakers.

Just went back and opened the project file for this song in Ableton. It’s hard to believe that this song is nearly a year old - I was blown away by how meticulous the song is, if I do say so myself. Easily one of the most well-constructed songs I’ve ever done. Set a really high bar for myself that I don’t think I’ve quite reached recently.
